I have been praying for tiny Justus Turnage, who was born prematurely, then medevaced to Portland.  Now he is gaining strength in anticipation of a surgery.  Pictures of Justus and stories of God’s provision and “just-in-time” miracles are up on the web, which remind me of how tiny and dependent those young lives are.   Justus is in a portion of a hospital where everyone has the same objective, to care for and save the lives of the tiny ones.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  I wonder if the attitudes and actions in a neo-natal unit might just be the closest thing on earth to what heaven is like…
